Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking a Software Engineer - eKYC to lead hands-on development of an eKYC solution in the finance sector. This onsite contract role involves collaboration with vendors, business users, IT and security teams across the full solution lifecycle.

You'll contribute in workshops, manage CI/CD, support SIT/UAT, and ensure security standards and production uptime, with 3–6+ years in software engineering and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Software Eng or related field.
• 3–6+ years in software engineering or related IT roles.
• Experience with SDLC, deployments, CI/CD and Git.
• Experience with SIT/UAT, production support and documentation.
• Nice to have eKYC, API integrations, DR exercises, security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Participate in workshops and review vendor docs to ensure fit with IT ecosystem.
• Manage versions, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments across environments.
• Develop and execute SIT tests; assist UAT and troubleshoot with vendors.
• Coordinate with IT Security on hardening and key management.
• Provide 2nd‑level production support and monitor SLA and uptime.
• Handle change requests, impact analysis, and rollout documentation.

The Role

As a Software Engineer - eKYC, you'll play a hands‑on part in bringing an eKYC solution to life within the finance sector, from the first vendor workshops right through to stable, post‑production operations. This onsite contract role puts you at the centre of collaboration between vendors, business users, IT teams and security teams, giving you end‑to‑end exposure to the full solution lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Participate in technical and business workshops, and review vendor documentation, solution architecture and application design to ensure fit with the existing IT ecosystem
• Manage application and package versions, CI/CD pipelines and deployments across development, SIT, UAT, Production and DR environments
• Develop and execute SIT test cases, support UAT, and work with vendors to troubleshoot issues, including performance, penetration and DR testing
• Coordinate with IT Security on application hardening and key management, and ensure the solution meets organisational security standards
• Provide 2nd‑level production support, monitor application health and performance, and ensure SLA and uptime targets are met
• Manage change requests through the SDLC, perform impact analysis, and prepare technical specifications and rollout documentation

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field
• 3–6+ years of experience in software engineering, application support, system integration or related IT roles
• Strong experience across the SDLC, with solid exposure to deployment and release management, CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g. Git)
• Experience in SIT/UAT testing, production support, environment management and technical documentation
• Experience working with third‑party vendors and internal IT stakeholders on enterprise applications, ideally in banking or other regulated environments
• A plus: exposure to eKYC, digital identity or onboarding solutions, API‑based integrations, DR exercises, and application security concepts
