Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking a Junior Test Analyst to support a finance project, focusing on card-related solutions and reliable testing practices. This onsite role offers hands-on exposure to the card payments world while you strengthen your testing craft.

Requirements include 1 year of manual testing, basic banking knowledge, and familiarity with SDLC/STLC. Training and career growth opportunities are provided within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of software testing experience (manual testing).
• Basic understanding of banking domain and card products such as credit and debit cards.
• Solid grasp of testing fundamentals: SDLC, STLC and main testing types.
• Awareness of card processing systems like SICS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Write and execute test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform manual testing across functional, regression, integration and UAT phases.
• Validate card lifecycle processes including issuance, activation, transactions, settlements, disputes and chargebacks.
• Log, track and follow up on defects using JIRA.

Junior Test Analyst (Banking and Card Products)

The Role

Are you a tester who enjoys understanding how money moves behind the scenes? We are looking for a Junior Test Analyst to support a project in the finance sector, where you will test card-related solutions and help ensure they work accurately and reliably. This is an onsite position that offers hands‑on exposure to the card payments world while you sharpen your testing craft.

What You’ll Do

• Write and execute test cases based on business and technical requirements
• Perform manual testing across functional, regression, integration and UAT phases
• Validate card lifecycle processes, including issuance, activation, transactions, settlements, disputes and chargebacks
• Log, track and follow up on defects using tools such as JIRA
• Prepare and maintain test artefacts, including test plans, test cases and test reports (DSR)
• Test card transaction flows and related messaging, keeping banking regulations and compliance in mind

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of software testing experience, primarily in manual testing
• Basic understanding of the banking domain and card products such as credit and debit cards
• Solid grasp of testing fundamentals: SDLC, STLC and the main types of testing
• Awareness of SICS (Standard Interbank Card System) or similar card processing systems
• Familiarity with JIRA and basic web technologies (HTTP, HTTPS, APIs)
• A plus: knowledge of payment networks such as Visa and MasterCard, and exposure to test automation
