Job summary

JOINTHIRE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and manage software for automotive system and IT development.

The role involves proposing software solutions, preparing cost tables, and presenting to clients, while coordinating with the programming team to ensure specifications meet customer needs. The candidate will monitor progress, coordinate with partners, and assist in UA testing and after-sales support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/CE.
• Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Java, Oracle and SQL.
• Good knowledge of Windows-based OS, apps and basic networking.
• Strong English communication with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and drive to outstation locations.

Responsibilities

• Create software proposals, cost tables and deliver customer presentations during the enquiry phase.
• Develop detailed specifications and obtain customer approval during the purchase order phase.
• Monitor development progress, order computer equipment and negotiate with production partners.
• Attend UA testing and verify functions with customers during handover.
• Provide after-sales support by reporting failure causes and coordinating with programmers for fixes.
• Manage company information systems and support related internal teams.

Software Engineer (Automative System/ IT Developer)

Operating as the local arm of a global industrial machinery group, it delivers end-to-end services spanning sales, engineering, installation, and long-term maintenance to enhance operational efficiency for clients.

Job Description

Manage the enquiry phase by creating software proposals, cost tables, and conducting customer presentations

Handle the purchase order phase by developing detailed specifications, obtaining customer approval, and coordinating with the programming team

Monitor development progress, order computer equipment, and negotiate costs with production partners

Facilitate the handover phase by attending User Acceptance (UA) testing and verifying functions with customers

Provide after-sales support by reporting failure causes to customers and coordinating with the programming team for fixes

Manage company information systems and support related internal teams

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering

Minimum 2 years of experience in software engineering

Technical proficiency in Java, Oracle, and SQL

Good knowledge of Windows-based OS, applications, and basic networking

Strong oral and written communication skills in English to liaise with stakeholders

Possession of a valid driving license and willing to drive to outstation locations

Ability to travel as necessary for project requirements

Punctual, responsible, and able to follow work rules and SOPs

Experience in project management roles is an advantage
