Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for automated machinery, ensuring CE and local safety compliance.
• Test and improve software processes, and write test instructions for new parts.
• Coordinate with project managers to track resources and deadlines.
• Prepare software for production and customer upgrades, redesigning products to improve functionality and reduce costs.
• Create design documents, ECNs, and conduct training for assembly, service, and customers.
• Resolve product or equipment issues via remote or on-site support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Software designs and control systems for automated machinery, ensuring compliance with CE and local safety requirements.


• Testing & Improvement: Identify weaknesses in software processes using data, develop improvements, and create test instructions for new parts or processes.


• Project Management: Collaborate with Project Managers to track resources and ensure tasks are completed on time. Act as an internal project manager for assigned projects.


• Product Support: Prepare software for production, customer upgrades, and new machines. Redesign products to improve functionality, reduce lead time, or lower cost due to obsolete parts.


• Documentation & Training: Create design projects and specification sheets. Develop and distribute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). Conduct training for Assembly, Service, Sales, or customers.


• Issue Resolution: Resolve product or equipment issues internally (Assembly, Service, other plants) and externally (customers) via remote or on-site support.

What We're Looking For

• Background in Electrical/Electronic, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.


• Application knowledge and experience with programming languages : C, C++, C#


• Experience in Automation Software Development and Testing


• Operating systems: Windows, MS DOS, real-time operating system, embedded environment experience would be added advantage


• Knowledge in automation machinery concepts, closed loop control, driving techniques or microelectronics


• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills


• Experience in Machine Automation software programming would be added advantage


• PLC programmer with adequate C, C++, C# is also encouraged to apply
