Job summary

Greatech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a junior Automation Software Engineer to develop software for PC-based and PLC-based automation machines. You will document designs and provide technical support to customers, working closely with project teams and managers.

Travel for buy-off activities and on-site assistance is required, with emphasis on ISO compliance. Fresh graduates or those with up to 2 years in automation/machine programming are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduate or 0–2 years in Automation/Machine Programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for automation machines (PC-based/PLC).
• Create detailed software design specifications and documentation.
• Interact with customers to provide technical support, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Work in small multi-disciplinary teams including Customers, Project Managers and Project Team.
• Provide on-site software and programming support.
• Travel to set-up and support buy-off activities as required.
• Assist customers with evaluations and solutions for modification requests.
• Adhere to ISO requirements and company SOPs, policies and guidelines.

Job description

Responsible for developing software of automation machine (PC based/PLC).

Develop detailed software design specification and documentation.

Interacting with customers to provide technical support, troubleshooting and resolving customer issues.

Must display initiative and ability to work in small multi-disciplinary teams including Customers, Project Managers and Project Team.

On-site support for software and programming related issues.

Travelling to set-up & support buy-off activity is necessary.

Provide assistance and software support to customers as well as evaluation to find solutions on customer's modification requests.

Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.

To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering (Mechatronic), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent years of related experience.

Fresh graduate or minimum of 0-2 years of working experience in Automation/Machine Programming.
