Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with a leading organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a Project Manager Technical Sales Automation. This opportunity is based in Malaysia.
Position Overview
This role is responsible to drive the development and conversion of automation sales opportunities through solution design, technical consultation, and proposal management. It plays a key role in securing order intake and delivering commercially viable, competitive, and executable automated solutions that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell automated solutions by creating value proposition, delivering high service level and fast response during the sales phase of automated projects.
- Generate order intake for automated solutions.
- Be part of the selling team for automated solutions, responsible for design, conceptualising, drafting, configuration and calculation of automated solutions and proposals for customer projects.
- Manage automation sales opportunities and projects in a timely, goal-oriented manner while adhering to APAC quality standards, tools, guidelines, and standard processes.
- Site assessment, analysis of requirements, and solution feasibility verification.
- Respond RFQs preparations, cost calculations, layouts, and customer quotations, including technical clarifications, deviations, and project pricing.
- Present, negotiate, and revise proposals with customers, support contract definition and review, and coordinate reference visits where required.
- Support project handover and implementation by conducting internal and external kick-offs and overseeing preparation of system specifications.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, APAC Hub, AWE-CN, Corporate automation, legal, service teams, suppliers, customers, and support marketing, product management, trade fairs, and customer events.
- Coordinate with external and internal vendors for hardware and software to generate complete costings for projects.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on intralogistics or automation.
- At least 5 years of technical sales or project sales experience in intralogistics, warehouse automation, or materials handling systems.
Technical / Functional Expertise
- Strong knowledge of automated logistics systems, material flow technologies, and solution costing.
- Experience in technical sales, project sales, intralogistics, warehouse automation, or materials handling systems.
- Proficiency in CAD and MS Office.
- Fluent business English and local language skills.
- Experience in solution design, conceptualisation, drafting, configuration, cost calculation, feasibility assessment, quotation preparation, and proposal management for automated solutions.
