Job summary

IRS Software Malaysia (IRS Software Solution (M) Sdn Bhd) is seeking a capable software developer to join our team in Malaysia. You will participate in the full SDLC, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and build robust backend services with C# and ASP.NET Core Web API while refining SQL Server data access.

You will collaborate with users and product owners, contribute to testing and debugging, and explore AI-enabled features to enhance product capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field with CGPA 3.5+.
• Hands-on frontend development experience using React.js.
• Hands-on backend development experience using C# / ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, views, or functions).
• Familiar with Git version control.
• Able to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues and deliver practical solutions.

Job description

Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirement study, system design, development, testing, and maintenance.

Work with users, product owners, and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# / ASP.NET Core Web API.

Design, write, and optimize database queries, stored procedures, views, and functions using Microsoft SQL Server.

Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving system issues reported by users or the support team.

Conduct software testing to ensure system reliability, performance, and quality.

Support research and implementation of AI-related features, such as integrating with AI platforms or APIs where applicable.

Use modern development tools and AI-assisted tools, where appropriate, to improve development productivity and software quality.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field with CGPA 3.5 and above.

Hands-on frontend development experience using React.js.

Hands-on backend development experience using C# / ASP.NET Core Web API.

Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including queries, stored procedures, views, or functions.

Familiar with Git version control.

Able to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver practical solutions.

Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Added Advantages

At least 2 years of working experience in software development.

Experience with Node.js backend development.

Experience integrating with AI platforms or APIs such as OpenAI API or other LLM providers.

Knowledge or hands-on experience using AI tools and technologies to support code development and software engineering, such as Codex, Claude Code, or similar tools.

Experience with dashboard, reporting, ERP, or accounting systems.

Experience with DevExtreme, Recharts, shadcn/ui, or other reporting / UI component libraries.
