Job summary

Kardex is seeking a Software Application Engineer to ensure our software scope aligns with customer requirements and to support deployment on customer sites. You will collaborate with the New Business Team, solution design and project management to deliver successful implementations.

The role requires strong documentation, SQL database skills, networking knowledge and fluent English, with travel within the country. SAP/ERP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Five years of on-customer-site software project implementation experience.
• Knowledge of logistics processes (automation, supply chain, WMS) and warehouse/software solutions (WMS, ERP) is essential.
• Exposure to intralogistics processes is required.
• Excellent technical documentation skills.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and database installation.
• Understanding of networks and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Discuss and understand business, software and system requirements with stakeholders.
• Translate customer processes into software configurations and implementations.
• Define software configurations based on project requirements.
• Develop and document Software Functional Descriptions.
• Lead software setup, configuration and rule implementation for projects.
• Document all requirements, flows, design, testing and standards.
• Record issues and provide regular progress updates toward milestones.
• Diagnose and fix bugs during/after implementation.
• Participate in testing and commissioning at customer sites.
• Ensure successful implementation within schedule and quality standards.
• Capture customer feedback for continuous improvement.
• Adhere to software deployment best practices.
• Collaborate with project team to resolve issues and provide guidance.
