RIGOL TECHNOLOGIES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Bayan Lepas is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead for SMT operations to supervise daily warehouse activities, ensure material availability for production, and maintain traceability of components.

You will drive FIFO, ESD controls, and 5S, manage a team of warehouse operators, and coordinate with Planning, Purchasing, and Production to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse, inventory, or material control experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
• At least 1–2 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience supporting SMT, PCB assembly, EMS, or high‑volume electronics production is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily SMT warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, line feeding, and shipping.
• Ensure materials are available to SMT production lines according to the production schedule and work orders.
• Monitor material shortages, aging inventory, and urgent production requirements; elevate issues promptly to Planning, Purchasing, and Production teams.
• Oversee the correct storage and handling of electronic components, PCBs, solder paste, chemicals, and other production materials.
• Maintain compliance with FIFO requirements, moisture-sensitive device (MSD) controls, shelf-life requirements, and ESD handling procedures.
• Monitor and control material movements between warehouse, SMT production lines, quarantine areas, and return-to-stock locations.
• Assign daily tasks, prioritize workloads, and monitor team performance against production and warehouse targets.
• Train warehouse employees on SOPs, ESD requirements, material handling, barcode scanning, safety, and quality procedures.

Job description

The SMT Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for supervising daily warehouse operations supporting Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production. This role ensures accurate receiving, storage, inventory control, material kitting, line replenishment, and traceability of electronic components and production materials. The Team Lead manages warehouse personnel, maintains material availability for production, and ensures compliance with quality, ESD, FIFO, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

Lead and coordinate daily activities of SMT warehouse operators, including receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, line feeding, material return, and shipping.

Ensure materials are available to SMT production lines according to the production schedule and work orders.

Monitor material shortages, aging inventory, and urgent production requirements; elevate issues promptly to Planning, Purchasing, and Production teams.

Oversee the correct storage and handling of electronic components, PCBs, solder paste, chemicals, and other production materials.

Maintain compliance with FIFO requirements, moisture-sensitive device (MSD) controls, shelf-life requirements, and ESD handling procedures.

Inventory Control & Material Traceability

Ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately and on time in the SAP/MES/WMS system.

Maintain material traceability by lot number, date code, supplier batch, and work order requirements.

Conduct cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.

Monitor and control material movements between warehouse, SMT production lines, quarantine areas, and return-to-stock locations.

Ensure unused materials are properly returned, labeled, inspected, and recorded after production runs.

Assign daily tasks, prioritize workloads, and monitor team performance against production and warehouse targets.

Train warehouse employees on SOPs, ESD requirements, material handling, barcode scanning, safety, and quality procedures.

Support employee performance reviews, attendance management, coaching, and continuous skills development.

Promote a clean, organized, safe, and disciplined warehouse environment using 5S and lean principles.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to company quality standards, ISO procedures, EHS requirements, and customer-specific requirements.

Maintain accurate labels, storage conditions, material status identification, and quarantine controls.

Report damaged, expired, nonconforming, or suspect materials to Quality and relevant departments.

Enforce safe operation of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and material handling equipment.

Participate in internal audits, customer audits, inventory audits, and corrective action activities.

Identify opportunities to improve material flow, warehouse layout, kitting efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on‑time line supply.

Support implementation of lean manufacturing, Kanban, barcode/RFID systems, and warehouse process improvements.

Prepare daily/weekly reports on inventory accuracy, shortages, material movement, warehouse productivity, and staffing needs.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, material traceability, and production material handling.

Familiarity with SMT components, reels, trays, moisture‑sensitive devices, ESD controls, and component shelf‑life management.

Experience using SAP, MES, WMS, barcode scanning systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Knowledge of FIFO, cycle counting, 5S, lean manufacturing, and basic quality systems.

Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and manage changing production priorities.

Ability to lift and move materials within applicable safety limits and operate warehouse equipment, where certified.
