Job summary

RIGOL TECHNOLOGIES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an SMT Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead end-to-end SMT PCBA processes from printing, SPI, pick-and-place, reflow, AOI to backend.

You will drive process improvement and NPI, conduct DOE, optimize lines, and implement new technologies; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects, and establish PFMEA, control plans and work instructions to ensure stability and compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
At least 3 years of SMT PCBA process and equipment engineering experience.
Familiar with SMT manufacturing processes and able to analyze defects to propose improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead and optimize SMT manufacturing end-to-end processes (printing, SPI, pick & place, reflow, AOI, wave soldering, backend).
Drive process improvement and NPI activities, including DOE, line optimization and new technology adoption.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for SMT defects and production issues; ensure sustainable solutions.
Establish and maintain process standards, PFMEA, control plans and work instructions to ensure stability and compliance.

Job description

Lead and optimize SMT manufacturing end-to-end processes, including printing, SPI, pick & place, reflow, AOI, wave soldering, backend and related process controls, to achieve quality, productivity and yield targets.

Drive process improvement and NPI activities, including process qualification, DOE, line optimization and implementation of new technologies/equipment.

Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for SMT defects and production issues, ensuring effective and sustainable solutions.

Establish and maintain process standards, parameters, PFMEA, control plans and work instructions to ensure process stability and compliance.

Provide technical leadership and coaching to engineers and technicians, while driving continuous improvement, cost reduction and manufacturing excellence.

Job Requirements

A bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
At least three years of experience in SMT PCBA process and equipment engineering;
Familiar with SMT manufacturing processes, capable of analyzing product defects based on equipment and fixture capabilities, and proposing improvement solutions;
Proficient in equipment maintenance and programming, including printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, etc.
