Job summary

IFS Capital (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a commercially driven SME Financing Relationship Manager to grow our portfolio across financing, leasing and export-related solutions, with hands-on experience in export financing, export factoring, equipment leasing or asset financing.

The role targets manufacturers, exporters and trading companies, involves cross-border trade, and requires English and Mandarin communication, with travel to meet clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in SME financing, commercial financing, factoring, leasing or export financing.
• Strong hands-on experience in export financing/export factoring and/or equipment leasing/asset financing preferred.
• Experience dealing directly with business owners, directors and finance teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a portfolio of SME clients across SME financing, equipment leasing, export financing, export factoring and commercial financing.
• Identify and acquire new business opportunities through networking, referrals, industry associations, strategic partnerships and direct business development.
• Build relationships with business owners, directors, finance teams and key decision-makers to understand their financing, working-capital and cash-flow requirements.
• Develop new opportunities among manufacturers, exporters, trading companies, suppliers and businesses involved in cross-border trade.
• Conduct preliminary financial and business assessments and recommend appropriate financing solutions.
• Manage the complete client relationship from prospecting and initial assessment through application, approval, onboarding and post-disbursement servicing.
• Work closely with Credit, Operations and other internal teams to ensure efficient execution and a positive client experience.
• Monitor existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for repeat financing, increased wallet share and cross-selling.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and actively convert opportunities into business.
• Maintain awareness of market conditions, industry trends, trade flows and SME financing opportunities, particularly within the Malaysia–China business corridor.
• Achieve agreed business development, portfolio growth, revenue and asset-quality targets.
