Zalam Corporation Sdn Bhd in Kapar, Selangor is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor (Construction) for a full-time, on-site role. You will oversee daily construction operations, ensure safety, and deliver projects on schedule to meet high-quality standards.

You will lead a diverse workforce, conduct toolbox talks, monitor progress, liaise with managers and clients, and optimise resources to reduce waste. Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years' experience in construction supervision or site management.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety protocols and building codes in Malaysia.
• Strong leadership and team management with effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities according to project plans and timelines.
• Motivate and direct the construction workforce to meet productivity targets.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings to ensure safe practices.
• Inspect workmanship and materials for compliance with standards and codes.
• Monitor site safety, identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

About the role
Zalam Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor (Construction) to join our team in Kapar, Selangor. This is a full-time position based on-site, where you will oversee daily construction operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The Site Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining site safety, managing workforce productivity, and ensuring compliance with all project specifications and timelines. This position is essential to the successful delivery of our construction projects and directly impacts project profitability and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring all work is completed according to project plans, specifications and timelines

Manage and motivate the construction workforce, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance and providing direction to ensure productivity targets are met

Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings to maintain awareness of site hazards and reinforce safety protocols amongst all personnel

Inspect workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with project standards, building codes and contractual requirements

Monitor site safety standards, identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment for all staff

Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, workforce attendance, equipment usage and progress reports

Liaise with project managers, clients and subcontractors to resolve issues, manage changes and ensure effective communication across all parties

Organise and manage site resources, including equipment, materials and personnel, to optimise efficiency and reduce waste

Conduct routine site inspections and maintenance to ensure the site remains clean, organised and compliant with health and safety regulations

Report on site progress, identify delays or challenges and recommend solutions to maintain project schedules

Minimum 3-4 years' experience in construction supervision or site management roles

In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety protocols and building codes relevant to Malaysia

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse workforce effectively

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels

Proven track record of managing construction projects on schedule and within budget

Sound understanding of health and safety regulations, with demonstrated commitment to maintaining safe work practices

Proficiency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office applications
