About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor (Construction) to join our team on a contract basis at our project site in Melaka. This is a hands‑on supervisory position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on site, maintaining safety standards, managing resources, and ensuring that all work is completed to specification and on schedule. Your leadership and technical expertise will directly impact project success and team performance.
Key responsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and timelines
Monitor workforce performance and productivity, ensuring all staff comply with site safety protocols and regulations
Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment
Manage site logistics, including the allocation and proper use of equipment, materials, and resources
Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets, attendance logs, and progress documentation
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to report on progress and address any concerns or changes
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
Train and guide workers on proper construction techniques, safety procedures, and site protocols
Resolve on‑site disputes and manage conflicts between workers in a professional manner
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to promote a culture of awareness and accident prevention
What we're looking forMinimum 3 years of experience in construction site supervision or equivalent supervisory role in civil/structural engineering projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices
Proven experience in health, safety, and environmental management on construction sites
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse workforces
Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal)
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
Knowledge of relevant Malaysian building codes and construction regulations
Problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills under pressure
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to site as required
Relevant certifications such as CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board) registration or Site Safety and Health Officer qualification are highly preferred
