Job summary

Goldfields Concepts Sdn. Bhd. seeks a capable construction supervisor to coordinate and oversee on-site activities in Ipoh, Perak. You will supervise subcontractors, ensure quality, and maintain schedules to meet project scope and budget.

Responsibilities include safety enforcement, site inspections, liaising with clients, authorities, and project managers, and preparing site reports. Travel within Malaysia is required; reporting to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Resolve discrepancies between structure and architecture drawings.
• Review subcontractor progress claims based on actual work done.
• Perform regular site inspections.
• Identify and manage safety hazards per accident protocols.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety practices.
• Check work techniques for correctness and safety.
• Manage orders and deliveries of building materials.
• Assist project managers with planning and subcontractor arrangements.
• Complete site reports and records.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia; mainly Klang Valley and Northern region.
• Report to Project Manager.

• Coordinate, supervise and execute construction activities.
• Inspect and control the quality of construction works.
• Supervise subcontractors to complete the project on time while meeting the quality and the cost requirements.
• Check construction works to ensure the work is constructed in accordance with the latest drawings and specifications.
• Check and resolve discrepancies between the structure and the architecture drawings and other information required pertaining to the construction details.
• Check subcontractor progress claims according to actual work done.
• Perform regular inspections of the construction site.
• Identify and manage potential safety hazards and site accidents within established accident protocols.
• Ensure all personnel comply with health and safety practices, including but not limited to eliminate potential safety hazards.
• Check work techniques are correct and safe.
• Manage orders and deliveries of building materials.
• Assist project managers with planning work activities and make arrangements with sub-contractor to execute works based on project job scopes.
• To complete site reports and other records.
• This role will require candidates to travel, subject to project locations within Malaysia. Mainly Klang Valley and Northern region.
• This role will be reporting to Project Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• SPM, Professional Certificate, Diploma or equivalent with at least 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
• Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Outstanding leadership skills.
• Experienced in supervising construction or ID projects.
• Be able to liaise with clients, project managers, regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
• Dynamic, positive attitude and able to anticipate project needs, meet deadlines with little supervision.
• Able to work independently, handle multiple projects and work assignments efficiently and effectively.
• Possess experience in interior fit-out works is advantageous.
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia. Added advantage if candidate is able to converse in Mandarin and Cantonese.
