Job summary

Amazon Semenyih Sdn Bhd in Semenyih is seeking a site supervisor to monitor daily site activities, inspect workmanship, and ensure compliance with approved drawings and quality standards. You will interpret architectural, structural, infrastructure and basic M&E drawings, check major works before coverage, and maintain detailed daily site reports with progress, manpower and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising construction sites with focus on quality control.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in communicating in English and Malay; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent the developer to monitor daily site activities.
• Inspect workmanship and materials for compliance with drawings and standards.
• Understand architectural, structural, civil infrastructure and basic M&E drawings.
• Check important works before covering (reinforcement, formwork, concrete, waterproofing, underground services, roofing, concealed M&E).
• Monitor progress against the schedule and report delays.
• Maintain daily site reports (manpower, machinery, deliveries, weather, issues).
• Take dated site photos of ongoing and completed works.
• Record defects or non-compliant works and follow up for rectification.
• Communicate with developer, consultants, main contractor and subcontractors.
• Attend meetings and prepare progress updates for developer.
• Monitor tests, inspections, material approvals and consultant inspection requests.
• Immediately report major discrepancies to developer.

Job description

Represent the developer in monitoring daily site activities

Inspect workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with approved construction drawings, specifications and agreed quality standards

Understand architectural, structural, civil infrastructure and M&E drawings

Check important works before they are covered, including reinforcement, formwork, concrete, waterproofing, underground services, roofing and concealed M&E installations

Monitor actual progress against the approved construction schedule and report delays or potential delays

Maintain daily site reports containing manpower, machinery, activities, deliveries, weather, progress and site issues

Take organised, dated picture of ongoing and completed works

Record defective or non-compliant works and follow up with the main contractor until rectification is completed

Communicate with developer, consultants, main contractor and subcontractors

Attend meetings and prepare progress updates for developer

Monitor tests, inspections, material approvals and consultant inspection requests

Immediately report major quality, safety, programme or drawing discrepancies to developer

Requirements:

Preferably 3–5 years of site supervision experience

Experience with industrial, factory, warehouse, commercial or multi-unit building projects is strongly preferred

Able to interpret architectural, structural, infrastructure and basic M&E drawings

Familiar with reinforcement, concreting, masonry, waterproofing, roofing and architectural finishing inspections

Knows how to send basic site reports on Whatsapp using pictures and videos

Responsible, firm, observant and willing to be stationed at the Semenyih site full-time

Must have own transport

Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Bahasa Cina is an advantage
