Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• 2–8 years site experience preferred (fresh graduates welcome depending on position).
• Knowledge of CONQUAS/QLASSIC and CIDB requirements is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day civil, structural, and architectural works per drawings and specs.
• Plan and direct daily site activities and labour deployment for timely delivery.
• Drive project progress and resolve on-site bottlenecks to maintain flow.
• Enforce quality controls to meet CONQUAS/QLASSIC benchmarks.
• Conduct regular site inspections for safety, compliance, and housekeeping.
• Monitor materials and resources to minimize wastage.
• Coordinate with Clients, Consultants, Architects, authorities, and subcontractors.
• Direct subcontractors and suppliers on sequence, availability, and schedule adherence.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors on progress claims and VO verifications.
• Provide technical direction to resolve on-site issues promptly.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and milestone documentation.
• Ensure permits, inspections, and QC documentation are maintained.
• Chair and participate in progress, coordination, and toolbox meetings.
• Execute additional tasks as directed by management.

• Oversee day-to-day civil, structural, and architectural works to ensure alignment with project drawings, technical specifications, and construction schedules.
• Plan, organize, and direct daily site activities and labor deployment to achieve timely, safe, and cost-effective project delivery.
• Drive overall project progress, maintaining continuous site operational flow and resolving operational bottlenecks.
• Enforce stringent quality control standards across all structural works and architectural finishes to achieve target CONQUAS and QLASSIC benchmarks.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure strict compliance with approved drawings, statutory safety regulations, and site housekeeping standards.
• Monitor material usage and resource allocation to optimize consumption and minimize site wastage.
• Serve as the primary site liaison between Clients, Consultants, Architects, Local Authorities, Subcontractors, and Quantity Surveyors.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel regarding work sequencing, resource availability, and schedule adherence.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors on progress claim verifications, variation orders (VOs), and site measurements.
• Provide immediate technical direction to resolve complex on-site issues promptly, preventing schedule delays and design conflicts.
• Prepare, review, and submit timely daily and weekly progress reports and milestone tracking documentation.
• Oversee administrative site compliance, ensuring all work permits, inspection sign-offs, and quality control documentation are accurately maintained.
• Chair and participate in regular progress, coordination, and toolbox safety meetings.
• Execute additional project assignments and directives as required by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; 2–8 years of construction site experience preferred (depending on position).
• Knowledge of CONQUAS, QLASSIC, CIDB requirements, Malaysian construction standards, and 5S is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in Arch/structural drawings and plans.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work schedules.
• Good understanding of construction methods, quality control, safety regulations, and site supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and report preparation.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Self-motivated, responsible, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel, work outstation, and work beyond normal hours when required.
