Job summary

Setia Awan is seeking a Construction Site Supervisor in Malaysia to oversee field activities, ensure quality and schedule adherence. You will coordinate with contractors, attend meetings, and enforce site procedures while maintaining rigorous reporting and documentation.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree or diploma with several years of supervision experience, be able to work under pressure, and be willing to be stationed at the Tanjung Malim site.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering / Building or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction site supervision and engineering.
• Possess good planning and supervision skills.
• Independent and able to meet deadlines.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering with 7+ years experience can be considered.
• Experience with Main Building Contractor and/or Civil contractor is an advantage.
• Able to work under stress and tight timelines.
• Good team player with communication skills.
• Willing to be based at Tanjung Malim site.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with consultants/contractors/sub-contractors, authorities and PMO to complete work on time, cost and quality.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with specs, drawings and programs.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports and ensure proper recording.
• Attend audits, progress, safety and contractors’ meetings.
• Issue verbal and written instructions to all contractors including NSC.
• Assist HOP in overseeing site organization, management and administration.
• Ensure work procedures follow the project quality plan/ISO standards.
• Maintain records and handle office administration.
• Communicate effectively with main contractor and subcontractors.
• Sequence construction works, especially Main Building and Infra works.
• Undertake other tasks as directed by Management.

Job description

• Liaise and co-ordinate with consultants/contractors/sub-contractors, authorities and Project Management Committee on the requirement in order to complete the work on time, cost and high quality.
• Monitor site activities such as checking inspection, measurement, and supervision of works to comply with specification, drawings, and programs to achieve target progress and quality.
• Prepare daily report and weekly report and ensure the reports are correctly recorded.
• Attend audit interviews and all projects meeting i.e. progress meeting, safety meeting, and contractors’ meetings etc.
• Issue and enforce verbal and written instruction to all contractors including Nominated Sub-Contractor (NSC).
• Assist the HOP in overseeing the site organization, management and administration.
• Ensure work procedures are strictly followed in accordance to the project quality plan/ ISO requirements.
• Record keeping and office administration.
• Good interpersonal skills, able to coordinate and communicate effectively with main contractor and subcontractors.
• Well verse in construction works sequencing especially in Main Building and Infra works.
• Undertakes any other tasks and assignments as directed by the Management.

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering / Building or any equivalent discipline.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in construction site supervision and engineering.
• Possess good skill in planning and supervision.
• Independence and able to meet deadlines.
• Candidate with Diploma in Civil Engineering with seven (7) years of experience and above can be considered.
• Candidate with working experience with Main Building Contractor and/or Civil contractor has added advantage.
• Able to work under stress and tight timeline.
• Good team player and communication skills.
• Willing to be based at Tanjung Malim site.
