HOMA ENGINEERING (M) SDN BHD in Penang Island is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee daily site operations, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of site supervision experience, strong knowledge of Malaysia construction codes, and fluent English and Malay. CIDB/OSH certifications are preferred; valid driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in site supervision.
• Knowledge of Malaysia construction methods, codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to communicate in English and Malay (and Mandarin/Malay as needed).
• Willingness to travel within project locations.
• Valid driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities and crews to ensure progress according to schedule.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies on site.
• Monitor work quality and inspect tasks against specifications.
• Conduct regular site meetings to align objectives, schedules and safety protocols.
• Maintain site documentation including progress reports and logs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and external parties for smooth execution.
• Address and resolve site issues and safety hazards promptly.
• Maintain records of labour, materials, equipment and costs.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to staff.

About the role

HOMA ENGINEERING (M) SDN BHD is seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Supervisor to join our construction team in Penang Island, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating with various teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. This position is essential to our operations and directly impacts project quality, timeline adherence, and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities and work crews to ensure projects progress according to schedule
• Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices across all site activities
• Monitor work quality and inspect completed tasks to confirm they meet specified standards and requirements
• Conduct regular site meetings with teams to communicate project objectives, schedules, and safety protocols
• Manage site documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and compliance records
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other external parties to ensure smooth project execution
• Address and resolve site-related issues, conflicts, and safety hazards promptly and effectively
• Maintain accurate records of labour, materials, equipment, and costs related to site activities
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to reinforce safety awareness among site personnel
• Report project progress, challenges, and incidents to management and senior project staff
• Able to communicate with our diverse client in Mandarin, Malay and English.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar supervisory role within the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years' experience
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations relevant to Malaysia
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse work teams
• Outstanding organisational and coordination abilities with attention to detail
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications
• Strong communication skills in English and Malay, both written and verbal
• Competence in using construction management tools and software, including basic IT proficiency
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the project locations
• Relevant certifications such as CIDB Registration or Construction Safety and Health certification are highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of safety and quality
