• Proven experience in team leadership and management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with clients, contractors and site personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site per project specs, plans, and schedules.
• Monitor and manage site safety protocols; conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance.
• Manage construction teams including labourers, tradespeople, and sub-contractors; ensure productivity and deadlines.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and briefings to communicate updates and priorities.
• Maintain accurate site records: daily reports, progress logs, materials, timesheets.
• Liaise between site teams and management; report progress and escalate concerns.
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure quality; address defects or non-conformances.
• Control site access, coordinate deliveries, and manage material storage and waste disposal.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, labour, and building codes.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Supervisor to join JKV Construction Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position based on-site, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely execution of construction projects. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, managing construction teams, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. This position is essential to the successful delivery of our projects and directly impacts our reputation for excellence in the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, plans, and schedules
• Monitor and manage site safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring all personnel comply with health and safety regulations
• Manage and supervise construction teams, including labourers, tradespeople, and sub-contractors, ensuring productivity and adherence to project deadlines
• Conduct daily tool box meetings and briefings to communicate project updates, safety requirements, and work priorities to the site team
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress logs, material inventories, and timesheets
• Liaise between site teams and management, reporting progress, identifying issues, and escalating concerns as required
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure quality standards are met and address any defects or non-conformances
• Control site access, coordinate deliveries, and manage material storage and waste disposal
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including environmental, labour, and building codes
• Support the resolution of site-related issues and implement corrective actions to maintain project momentum

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Supervisor or similar supervisory role in construction
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, civil engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards in Malaysia
• Proven experience in team leadership and management, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and site personnel
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Experience with site planning, resource allocation, and project scheduling
• Knowledge of safety management systems and hazard identification
• Physical ability to work on construction sites in all weather conditions
• Valid driving license and reliability in attendance
