Job summary

Private Advertiser in Genting Highlands is seeking a Site Supervisor for 3 full-time positions based in Gohtong Jaya, Genting Highlands, Pahang, to oversee daily construction operations, keep projects on schedule, and ensure safety and budget compliance.

You will lead site teams, review drawings, supervise subcontractors, conduct safety inspections, maintain records, coordinate with management and stakeholders, and ensure regulatory permits are met.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar supervisory role in construction (2+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations for Malaysian sites.
• Ability to motivate personnel in a fast-paced construction enviroment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specs.
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA-like protocols.
• Willingness to travel to on-site locations and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on site, ensuring progress according to schedules and project specs.
• Manage and motivate site teams, including labourers, skilled trades, and sub-contractors, fostering a productive environment.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and ensure adherence to safety regulations and reporting procedures.
• Monitor quality of work and materials to meet project specs and standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate site records, logs, progress reports, and equipment/material documentation.
• Manage site resources including equipment, materials, and personnel allocation to optimise efficiency.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly and escalate to senior management when needed.
• Communicate with clients, consultants, architects, and stakeholders about project progress and concerns.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, permits and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct induction and training sessions for new site personnel on safety procedures and project requirements.

About the role
We are looking for Site Supervisor to join us for 3 full-time positions based in Gohtong Jaya, Genting Highlands, Pahang, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily construction operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading construction workers, maintaining quality standards, and liaising between management and on-site personnel. This position is integral to the successful delivery of our construction projects and directly impacts project outcomes and team performance.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on site, ensuring work progresses according to schedules and project specifications

Conduct daily safety inspections and ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, incident reporting procedures, and best practices

Monitor quality of work and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards

Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of materials and equipment

Manage site resources including equipment, materials, and personnel allocation to optimise efficiency and minimise waste

Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly, escalating complex matters to senior management when necessary

Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, architects, and other stakeholders regarding project progress and any concerns

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle

Conduct induction and training sessions for new site personnel on safety procedures and project requirements

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar supervisory role within the construction industry, ideally with 2+ years of experience

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health and safety regulations applicable to Malaysian construction sites

Demonstrated ability to motivate personnel in a fast-paced construction environment

Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications

Knowledge of construction safety standards, OSHA regulations, and accident prevention protocols

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure

Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering or equivalent field experience is preferred

Valid driver's licence and willingness to work on-site full-time with Overtime
