Job summary

Vanadium Engineering Resources Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for our construction site in Subang Jaya, Selangor. You will oversee daily site operations, maintain site discipline, coordinate teams and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Report to the Site Manager and support budget control and cost management. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of site supervision experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a Site Supervisor or similar construction role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and safety standards in Malaysia.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal.
• Reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on site according to project plans and specs.
• Manage daily site operations, toolbox talks, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Implement and monitor health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct inductions and safety training for site workers.
• Inspect work quality and progress, identify issues and implement corrective actions.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team at our construction site in UEP Subang Jaya, Selangor. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You will report directly to the Site Manager and play a crucial role in maintaining site discipline, coordinating teams, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. This position is essential to the successful delivery of our construction projects and requires a hands‑on approach with strong leadership capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating all construction activities on site, ensuring work is executed according to project plans and specifications
• Managing daily site operations, including toolbox talks, work scheduling and resource allocation
• Implementing and monitoring health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel
• Conducting inductions and training for site workers on safety procedures and project-specific requirements
• Inspecting work quality and progress, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions promptly
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
• Maintaining accurate site records, including daily reports, incident logs and progress documentation
• Managing site housekeeping and ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standards
• Supporting the Site Manager in budget control and cost management activities
• Addressing workforce concerns and maintaining positive team morale

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor or in a similar supervisory construction role
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, safety standards and building regulations in Malaysia
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and discipline workers effectively
• Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal
• Sound understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
• Experience with site documentation, progress tracking and reporting systems
• Problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Physical fitness and willingness to work on site in all weather conditions
• A valid driving licence is preferred
• Relevant certifications such as CIDB Green Card or Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) qualifications are advantageous
