Job summary

Acquirax Holdings Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) to perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of E.O.L. semiconductor equipment across client sites.

You will diagnose complex issues, conduct preventative checks, and document detailed service reports for clients and internal teams. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple service calls with travel to Ipoh and Penang.

Qualifications

Must hold a diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or related field.
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar technical field support role.
Strong technical knowledge with ability to diagnose and resolve semiconductor equipment issues.
Excellent communication to explain technical info to non-technical clients.
Strong organization and time management to handle multiple service calls.
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to Ipoh and Penang.
Physical ability to perform hands-on engineering work and lift equipment.
Commitment to health and safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Customer-focused with quality service delivery.
Preferred: relevant technical certifications or specialised training.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for Semiconductor E.O.L. equipment.
Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
Perform preventative maintenance checks according to schedules.
Document work with detailed service reports and maintenance records.
Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
Respond promptly to emergency service calls and troubleshoot failures.
Maintain and manage field tools and equipment in working order.
Collaborate with the technical team to identify recurring issues and improvements.
Provide technical guidance and support to clients on operation and best practices.
Travel to client sites regionally as required.
