Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) to provide on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of EO L equipment across Malaysia. The role requires hands-on technical skills, strong communication, and the ability to travel to client sites in Penang and Ipoh.

You will diagnose complex issues, perform preventive maintenance, document all work, and advise clients on best practices. A diploma/degree in engineering and driving licence are essential, with opportunities for

Qualifications

Engineering or related degree and hands-on semiconductor service exposure.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues on EO L equipment.
Strong communication to explain technical info to non-technical clients.
Ability to manage multiple service calls and strict safety standards.
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

On-site installation, maintenance, and repair of Semiconductor EO L equipment.
Diagnose issues and implement solutions to minimise downtime.
Perform preventative maintenance and follow established schedules.
Document work with detailed service reports and records.
Communicate findings clearly to clients and internal teams.
Respond promptly to emergency service calls and troubleshoot failures.
Maintain field equipment and tools; ensure they are in working order.
Collaborate with the technical team on recurring issues and improvements.
Provide guidance on equipment operation and best practices to clients.
Travel to client sites across the region as required.

Proven experience working as a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) or in a similar technical field support role

Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues on E.O.L. Semiconductor equipment

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical clients

Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple service calls

Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites (Ipoh and Penang)

Physical capability to perform hands-on engineering work and lift equipment as required

Commitment to health and safety standards and adherence to compliance regulations

Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering quality support

Preferred: Relevant technical certifications or specialised training in specific Semiconductor equipment types

Maintain and manage field equipment and tools, ensuring they are in working order
Collaborate with the technical team to identify recurring issues and implement improvements
