Suntar International Group is seeking a proactive and competent Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to oversee workplace safety, ensure compliance with Malaysian safety regulations, and cultivate a strong safety culture at our project sites.
Key responsibilities
Ensure full compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Factory and Machinery Act (FMA), and all relevant DOSH/JKKP regulations.
Supervise and monitor daily safety activities at construction sites.
Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential hazards.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate unsafe conditions and practices.
Prepare and maintain safety documentation, inspection records, permits, and incident reports.
Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and induction training for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure all personnel use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients on all safety-related matters.
Monitor compliance with safe work procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.
About you
Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Certification recognized by DOSH/JKKP.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor in the construction industry.
Good knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health legislation and construction safety requirements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and make sound decisions on safety matters.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and safety documentation.
Willing to travel and work at project sites.
Able to work beyond normal office hours, including weekends and public holidays, when project requirements demand.
