Alam Sekitar Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to lead safety on our civil and industrial construction projects in Malaysia. The role requires auditing sites, enforcing PPE usage, and conducting safety briefings to minimize hazards and incidents.
You will investigate accidents, prepare reports with corrective actions, and manage SHASSIC and Work Safe at Site documentation. DOSH regulations knowledge and strong leadership are essential for this position.
Conduct daily inspections and audits of the construction site to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices
Ensure all workers adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and follow safety procedures.
Lead daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings to communicate safety protocols and job-specific risks.
Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
Documentation & Reporting :
Prepare and submit documentation for the Safety and Health Assessment System in Construction (SHASSIC). This includes gathering data, conducting assessments, and liaising with auditors to ensure a successful evaluation.
Manage the application process for "Work Safe at Site" compliance, ensuring all required forms, permits, and documentation are prepared and submitted to the relevant authorities or project stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, incidents, and safety meetings.
Training & Compliance :
Organize and conduct safety training sessions for new and existing workers on various topics, such as fall protection, confined space entry, and proper use of machinery.
Stay updated on the latest safety regulations and standards from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and other relevant bodies.
Ensure the project site has adequate first-aid facilities, fire extinguishers, and emergency response plans.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Experience : Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or similar role, preferably in civil, mechanical, or electrical construction projects.
Certifications : Must be a certified and registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
Skills :
Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, especially those related to Malaysia's DOSH.
Proven experience in preparing and managing SHASSIC and Work Safe at Site applications and documentation.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage site personnel and enforce safety rules.
