Lim Seong Hai Capital Berhad is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to monitor day-to-day safety on the project site and ensure compliance with DOSH regulations, company safety requirements and Safe Work Practices. You will work with project teams to promote a strong safety culture and identify hazards.
The role emphasizes inspections, risk assessments, inductions, incident follow-up, PPE enforcement, and maintaining safety records to support safe construction of the development.
The Site Safety Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring day-to-day safety practices at the project site and ensuring that employees, contractors and subcontractors comply with the Company's safety requirements and applicable statutory regulations. Working closely with the project and site teams, you will play an important role in identifying workplace hazards, preventing unsafe practices and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor daily site activities and ensure compliance with safety requirements, procedures and Safe Work Practices.
Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards.
Assist in implementing HIRARC, safety procedures and appropriate risk-control measures.
Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox briefings and other safety awareness activities.
Assist in investigating accidents, incidents and near misses and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used and safety requirements are observed at all times.
Maintain site safety records, inspection reports and other required documentation.
Assist the Safety & Health Officer and Project Management team in implementing and maintaining the project's Safety & Health requirements.
Requirements
Diploma, Certificate or relevant qualification in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Safety or a related discipline.
Registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with DOSH Malaysia.
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant site safety experience, preferably in property development, building construction or high-rise projects.
Good understanding of construction site safety requirements, HIRARC and Safe Work Practices.
Familiar with Malaysian occupational safety and health requirements applicable to construction sites.
Able to identify safety hazards and take appropriate action to address unsafe practices.
Good communication, interpersonal and reporting skills.
Responsible, disciplined and able to work effectively with contractors, subcontractors and site personnel.
Able to work independently and maintain a strong presence at the project site.
