Job summary

Boilermech Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites in Malaysia. You will lead toolbox talks, conduct inspections, and coordinate with contractors to maintain a safe working environment.

The role requires a Diploma in Safety and Health, JKKP registration, and at least two years' site experience, with strong reporting skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Safety and Health or related certificate and registered under JKKP Malaysia.
• At least 2 years of experience as a site safety supervisor on construction sites.
• Proficient in Excel and Word for reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA Act 1994 & FMA 1967 at sites.
• Inspect and rectify unsafe acts and conditions at construction site.
• Conduct toolbox talks before tasks.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inspection and progress reports.
• Liaise with contractor safety supervisors.
• Assist safety team in documentation and implementation of safety management.

Job description

Ensure thatthe provisions of Act and any regulations made thereunder are complied and promotethe safe conduct of work generally within the worksite and premise as stipulate in OSHA ACT 1994 & FMA 1967 BOWEC Reg 25

Inspect and rectifying any unsafe act and unsafe conditions at the construction site.

Correcting any unsafe act, unsafe condition and unsafe practices at the site.

Checking on sub-contractors’ work to ensure compliance with the Act and the Regulations.

Liaise with contractor’s safety supervisors appointed under Regulation 26 with respect to safety of work undertaken by sub-contractors. (if any)

To conduct a tool box talk before start any work task on site.

Prepare for daily inspection report, weekly report and monthly report.

Conducting a safety and health meeting on site project if required

To assist review and revise any documentation related to safety and health at the site.

To assist safety and health team on implementation of safety and health management on site.

To make sure all rules and regulation to be complied on site.

To assist any matter that related with occupational safety and health.

To assist project team on site to make sure all the progress run smooth between safety and health and project.

To assist safety and health team on manufacturing factory and premise at HQ if required

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:

Minimum Diploma in Safety and Health or related certificate and registered under JKKP Malaysia.

At least 2 years working experience in construction as a site safety supervisor

Able to write work report by using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Able to work under pressure.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision and possess a high sense of responsibility.

SPECIAL OR UNIQUE ASPECTS:

Shall be able to travel to job site using own transport as requested by Safety Officer and Project Manager.
