Job summary

Eco Interiors International Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to monitor construction sites and ensure workers follow safety regulations and policies.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Environmental Engineering or Occupational Safety & Health, a valid Yellow Book, and at least 2 years of construction safety experience. You must have own transport, be willing to travel to project sites, and may be stationed at outstation locations; hostel is provided.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Environmental Engineering or Occupational Safety & Health required.
• At least 2 years of working experience in safety in construction industries.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing Occupational Health & Safety requirements at site.
• Adhere to safety rules, procedures, policies and work instructions to ensure compliance.
• Ensure all workers wear PPE.
• Ensure CIDB or other necessary documents are valid to work at site.
• Conduct inspections/audits for safety hazards and improvements.
• Assist to conduct safety inductions/trainings for employees.
• Inspect equipment to observe unsafe conditions.
• Determine causes of accidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Raise health and safety issues to Supervisors and Project Manager.
• Undertake other duties as needed.

Job description

The Site Safety Supervisor is responsible to monitor or oversee construction sites and make sure that workers within the environment adhere to government regulations/standards regarding safety. The Site Safety Supervisor assists to implement policies/guidelines that reduce the risk of workplace accidents.

Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation of Occupational Health & Safety requirements at site;

Adhere to the safety and health’s rules and procedures, as well as relevant policies and work instructions to ensure compliance to the environmental requirements;

Ensure all workers are wearing PPE (personal protective equipment);

Ensure workers CIDB or any other necessary documents are always valid to work at site;

Conduct inspections/audits for potential safety hazards and area of improvement, as well as safety inspection to assess employee compliance with safety regulations;

Assist to conduct safety inductions/trainings to employees and workers;

Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions;

Determine the cause of any accident or dangerous occurrence and recommend means of preventing recurrence;

Raise health and safety issues to Supervisors and Project Manager where appropriate;

Undertake other duties that may arise due to contingencies of work from time to time.

Requirements

Possess a Diploma/Degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or related disciplines.

At least 2 years of working experience as a Safety in Construction Industries.

Possess a valid Yellow Book certification.

Possess own transportation and willing to travel to project sites as required.

Must be willing to be stationed at outstation locations if required for project execution.

Hostel provided for project out of KL & Selangor.
