Job summary

Mindteck Software Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety Site Supervisor to oversee workplace health and safety across construction site operations in Malaysia. You will enforce safety requirements, conduct inspections, manage risks and investigate incidents to ensure compliance with Malaysian OSH regulations.

The role includes toolbox talks, inductions, and coordination with project teams, subcontractors, and regulators to maintain safe work practices and continuous safety improvements on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in construction site safety supervision or OSH.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian OSH requirements and construction safety practices.
• DOSH-recognised Yellow Book certification or equivalent safety competency.
• Excellent communication, leadership, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with workers, subcontractors, management and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Identify unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are taken.

• Liaise with Project Managers, site engineers, subcontractors and regulators.
• Support emergency preparedness, drills and safety audits.
• Monitor safety performance and recommend improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce site safety policies, procedures, risk controls, and safe work practices.

• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.

• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and worker/subcontractor safety briefings.

• Monitor compliance with PPE, permit, risk assessment, and safe work requirements.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare reports with corrective actions.

• Maintain safety records, including inspections, training, incidents, risk assessments, and corrective actions.

• Liaise with Project Managers, Site Engineers, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities.

• Support emergency preparedness, drills, regulatory inspections, and safety audits.

• Monitor safety performance, identify trends, and recommend continuous improvements

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.

• Relevant experience in construction site safety supervision or OSH.

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health requirements and construction safety practices.

• Experience in site inspections, toolbox meetings, safety inductions, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

• Good knowledge of construction hazards, PPE, and safe work practices.

• DOSH-recognised Yellow Book / required safety competency certification applicable to the role.

• Strong communication, leadership, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and effectively with workers, contractors, management, and external parties.

• The Safety Site Supervisor will ensure construction activities are carried out safely and in compliance with Malaysian safety requirements through effective site supervision, hazard control, training, inspections, incident management, and continuous improvement.
