Job summary

SAMAIDEN SDN BHD is recruiting a Site Safety Supervisor to implement and maintain the HSE Management System on site in Malaysia. The candidate will identify hazards, assess risks, and coordinate safety training with subcontractors to ensure high safety standards across projects.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field, at least 2 years of experience, and Yellow Book certification. On-site work is required for project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in related field.
• Yellow Book certification is a MUST.
• Able to work on site as per project team requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement the requirements of the HSE Management System.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement controls to eliminate dangers.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with the HSE System and ERP.
• Maintain Emergency Response Plan information and communicate to responsible parties.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on safety training and high safety awareness.
• Conduct site safety inspections and report corrective actions.
• Liaise with DOSH and other agencies on health and safety matters.
• Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by superior.

Job description

Responsible for implementing the requirements of the HSE Management System

Take pro-active measures to identify hazard, assess the risk and then implement suitable control measures to eliminate ail dangers.

To ensure subcontractors comply to the requirements of the HSE Management System which outlined their responsibilities and commitments.

Maintain pertinent information on Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and to ensure the relevant communication information is distributed to the responsible party.

Ensure first aid facility and welfare facilities for workers are in good condition

Coordinate with Sub-Contractor on training courses where appropriate for any unfamiliar or hazardous operations being introduced onto the project and ensure the safety awareness remains high at all times

To conduct site safety inspection and recommend corrective action for unsafe act of workers and rectification for unsafe condition in all workplaces by submitting written report to HQ.

To observe and/or maintain a diary detailing safety activity(s), hazardous works, housekeeping, safety instruction, etc. in place.

Liaise with the DOSH, Police and other relevant government agencies with regard to health, safety and security matters affecting workers.

Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by superior

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline is typically required.

Minimum 2 years of working experiences in related field.

Yellow Book certification is a MUST.

Able to work on site as per required by the project team
