Job summary

ELIZON Construction Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a responsible Site Safety Supervisor to oversee safety on our road construction project. You will monitor daily activities, conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with DOSH/JKKP regulations and project procedures.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of site safety experience, SSS registration, and strong knowledge of risk assessment, HIRARC, and traffic management. This is a on-site role with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid SSS competency/registration with DOSH/JKKP.
• 2–3 years of relevant construction site safety experience.
• Knowledge of HIRARC, risk assessment and hazard identification.
• Familiar with OSH requirements and safety practices.
• Experience leading toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
• Knowledge of traffic management for construction sites.
• Familiar with earthwork, drainage, roadwork and heavy machinery.
• Good communication, observation and reporting skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with teams.

Job description

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to oversee and monitor occupational safety and health matters at our road construction project. The successful candidate will ensure that all site activities are carried out safely and in compliance with applicable safety requirements, project procedures, and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities and ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
• Ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site safety inductions.
• Monitor workers' compliance with PPE and site safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain safety records, inspection reports, checklists, and other safety documentation.
• Assist in conducting HIRARC / risk assessments and ensure recommended control measures are implemented.
• Monitor safety aspects of earthwork, excavation, drainage, roadwork, pavement and other civil construction activities.
• Monitor the safe operation of heavy machinery and construction equipment.
• Monitor traffic management and traffic control within and around the project site.

About you

• Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) competency/registration with DOSH/JKKP, where applicable.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in construction site safety.
• Knowledge of HIRARC, risk assessment, workplace hazard identification and control measures.
• Familiar with construction safety practices and applicable Occupational Safety and Health requirements.
• Experience conducting toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety inspections.
• Knowledge of traffic management / traffic control for construction sites.
• Familiar with earthwork, excavation, drainage, roadwork and heavy machinery operations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good observation, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with workers, subcontractors, and project teams.
