Job summary

KHAI SHIAN CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to oversee safety on our building sites in Malaysia. You will implement safety policies, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with DOSH/JKKP and project requirements.

Responsibilities include toolbox talks, inductions, incident reporting, and maintaining safety records. Excellent communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English, together with a proactive approach, are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Site safety supervision registration required.
• Must have yellow book and CIDB card.
• 1–2 years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Able to work long hours and on construction sites.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and valid SSS registration are encouraged to apply.

Job description

Monitor and ensure all site activities comply with occupational safety and health regulations, company safety policies, and project safety requirements.

Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.

Ensure workers comply with safety procedures and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site safety inductions for workers.

Assist in preparing and maintaining safety documentation, inspection reports, checklists, and other relevant records.

Investigate site accidents, incidents, and near misses, and assist in preparing incident reports and implementing corrective actions.

Monitor housekeeping, scaffolding, lifting operations, working at height, and other high-risk construction activities.

Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, and other relevant personnel on site safety matters.

Ensure compliance with Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH/JKKP) requirements and other applicable safety regulations.

Perform any other safety-related duties as assigned by the management.

Job Requirements

Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) registration recognised by DOSH/JKKP Malaysia.

Must have yellow book and CIDB card.

Minimum [1–2] years of relevant working experience in building construction or a related field.

Able to work long hours.

Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations, construction site safety practices, and hazard control measures.

Able to conduct site inspections, safety briefings, and prepare safety reports.

Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Willing to work at the construction site and comply with project requirements.

Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and valid SSS registration are encouraged to apply.
