Job summary

KIDE INTERNATIONAL SDN BHD is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to support the safety department on site. The role involves inspecting conditions, rectifying unsafe practices and ensuring subcontractor work complies with relevant laws and regulations in Malaysia.

Requirements include a Diploma and a valid Yellow Book Holder, at least 2 years in the field, and proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Chinese. The candidate should be able to work six days weekly on site in Kulim, Kedah.

Qualifications

• Diploma required and a valid Yellow Book Holder.
• At least 2 years of related field experience.
• Able to work in stressful environment and respond within stipulated timeline.
• Working experience in industrial projects is an advantage.
• Languages required: Bahasa Malaysia, English, Chinese; Chinese proficiency prioritized for liaising with China team & HQ.

Responsibilities

• Assist safety department on site safety supervision tasks.
• Inspect and rectify unsafe conditions at the construction site.
• Correct unsafe practices and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Check subcontractors' work for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Liaise with contractor’s safety supervisors regarding safety of work by subcontractors.
• Advise, implement, ensure compliance and continuous improvement for safety, health and related matters.
• Review company safety policies regularly and update procedures when needed.
• Manage administration of legal documentation and monitor all jobs to comply with DOSH, DOE, BOMBA and related bodies.
• Perform other duties as required by the company.

Job description

Report to SHO/Safety Manager. Assist safety department on site safety supervision tasks.

Inspect and rectifying any unsafe conditions at the construction site

Correcting any unsafe practices

Checking of sub-contractors’ work to ensure compliance with the Act and the Regulations made thereunder are complied with.

Liaise with contractor’s safety supervisors appointed under Regulation 26 with respect to safety of work undertaken by sub-contractors.

Advice, implement, compliance and continuous improvement for company’s security, safety and health and its related matters accordance to statutory & regulatory requirements and standard requirements.

Conduct regular reviews of the Company’s safety policies and initiate updates of procedures whenever necessary

Manage administration of legal documentation and monitor all jobs comply to DOSH, DOE, BOMBA & etc related government bodies accordance to their legal requirements and standards.

Perform other duties as and when required by the company.

Requirements

Candidates must at least possess Diploma and obtain certified and valid Yellow Book Holder.

At least 2 years of working experience in the related fieldis required for this position.

Able to work in stressful environment and have sense of urgency to respond to all relevant parties within stipulated timeline.

Working experience in industrial projects is an advantage.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English, Chinese. Candidates whoproficiently in Chinese languagewill be priorities due to the needs liaise with China team & HQ.

Candidatesmust able to work 6 days weeklyand work at site.
