Job summary

Protext Construction (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to supervise and monitor daily site activities, ensuring compliance with safety requirements and procedures. You will conduct toolbox talks, inductions, safety briefings and coordinate with workers and subcontractors to uphold safety standards.

The role includes investigating incidents, maintaining safety records and assisting with emergency drills, while liaising with Project Managers and authorities on safety matters.

Job description

Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety requirements.

Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.

Implement and monitor site safety procedures, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Risk Assessments and HIRARC.

Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site inductions for workers and subcontractors.

Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with site safety rules.

Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, and prepare relevant reports.

Maintain safety records, inspection checklists, permits and other safety documentation.

Monitor housekeeping, access routes, work platforms, scaffolding, lifting activities and other site operations.

Liaise with Project Manager, Site Engineer, subcontractors and relevant authorities on safety matters.

Assist in emergency preparedness, drills and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure non-compliance and safety issues are promptly rectified.

Perform any other safety-related duties assigned by the Project Manager or management.
