Job summary

EUREKA WAJA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to implement and monitor safety and health requirements across our construction sites in Malaysia. The role involves conducting inspections, conducting risk assessments, and delivering safety briefings to workers and subcontractors.

The successful candidate will investigate accidents, maintain records, and ensure compliance with OSHA, CIDB, and project standards. A strong focus on continuous safety improvements is essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised safety qualification (DOSH Level 2 or equivalent).
• Valid CIDB registration and relevant safety certification.
• Familiarity with OSHA 1994 and CIDB requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor site safety and health requirements per standards.

Job description

Responsible for implementing and monitoring site safety and health requirements in compliance with OSHA, CIDB and project standards. Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, deliver safety briefings, investigate incidents and ensure safe work practices across the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily site activities and ensure compliance with safety policies, statutory requirements and project procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments; identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor high-risk activities including lifting, scaffolding, excavation, confined spaces and working at height.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, training and awareness programmes for workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses, identify root causes and follow up on corrective actions.
• Manage emergency preparedness, drills and readiness of first aid and emergency response equipment.
• Maintain safety records, permits, inspection reports, training records and statutory documentation.
• Monitor occupational health, environmental and hazardous material management requirements.
• Track safety performance, KPIs and audit findings, and recommend improvements to enhance site safety.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across the project.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH Level 2 or equivalent minimum)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction safety, preferably in infrastructure.
• Valid CIDB registration and relevant safety certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1994, CIDB requirements and construction safety practices.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work with site teams, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Able to conduct site inspections, toolbox meetings, safety briefings and risk assessments.
• Strong attention to safety, compliance and site discipline.
