Job summary

FHL Construction SDN. BHD. is seeking a Safety Supervisor to oversee daily safety activities on our M&E construction site. You will ensure compliance with safety requirements and regulations while leading toolbox talks and inductions.

You will conduct regular inspections, monitor PPE use, and document safety records. The role requires valid SSS, Scaffold Inspector, AGT, and AESP certifications, with M&E exposure as a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant construction site safety experience.
• Must have valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) competency / registration.
• Must possess valid Scaffold Inspector certification.
• Must possess valid Authorised Gas Tester (AGT) certification.
• Must possess valid Authorised Entry Supervisor (AESP / Entry Supervisor) certification.
• Experience in M&E construction projects will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction site safety practices and procedures.
• Able to conduct site inspections and identify safety hazards independently.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Responsible, disciplined and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily safety activities at the M&E construction site.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
• Monitor workers, subcontractors and site personnel to ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site safety inductions where required.
• Prepare and maintain safety-related documentation, inspection records, reports and checklists.
• Monitor M&E works, lifting activities, scaffolding, work at height and confined space activities from a safety perspective.
• Assist in risk assessment, HIRARC, method statement and permit-to-work requirements.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions arising from safety inspections.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Team, subcontractors and relevant parties on safety matters.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure emergency response and safety procedures are properly implemented on site.

About you
