Zusammenfassung

UMECH CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD is seeking a Safety Site Supervisor to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promptly address hazardous conditions at construction sites. The role involves promoting safe work practices, coordinating HSE programs, and maintaining documentation to meet government standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Bachelor in OSH or a DOSH-certified safety supervisor credential (yellow book) with 3–5 years of construction safety experience.

Qualifikationen

Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a safety certificate is required.
Certified as a safety site supervisor by DOSH and hold a yellow book.
3–5 years of safety and health experience in construction, infrastructure projects.

Inspect and rectify unsafe conditions at the site.
Promote safe conduct of work on site, manage DOSH/DOE/CIDB documentation.

Jobbeschreibung

As a Safety Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for :

Ensure that the provisions of the Act and any regulations made thereunder are complied with.

Inspect and rectify any unsafe conditions at the construction site.

To promote safe conduct of work generally within construction sites.

Conducts regular reviews of the company’s safety policies and initiates updates of procedures whenever necessary.

Manage the administration of legal documentation and monitor all jobs that comply with DOSH, DOE, CIDB, and related government bodies in accordance with their legal requirements and standards.

Implement planned HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) programs for the project, including weekly HSE meetings, weekly staff meetings, daily toolbox briefings, and others HSE initiatives to enhance safety awareness at the site

Identify and control hazards at the work site based on priority, and maintain safe operations.

Engage with clients, consultants, subcontractors, etc to address and resolve HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) issues at the construction site.

Assist the SHO (Safety Health Officer) to investigate any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, or occupational disease which has happened at the construction site.

Receive and act on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace.

Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the superior.

Requirements :

Candidates must possess at least Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Occupational safety and health or a safety certificate from approved authorities.

Certified as a safety site supervisor by DOSH and hold a yellow book.

3-5 years of experience in safety and health, particularly in a construction company with infrastructure projects.

Able to work in stressful environment and have sense of urgency to respond to all relevant parties within the stipulated time.

To work independently with integrity and commitment to assigned duties.

Responsible, pleasant, and independent personality, fit, and possess good health for work.
