Job summary

Seri Yakin Sdn Bhd is hiring a Site Safety Supervisor to promote safe and healthy working conditions on construction sites. You will supervise safety of site personnel including staff and subcontractors, enforce safety rules, and coordinate safety programs with the team.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Health and Safety or related field, is registered with DOSH, and has at least 3 years' experience in infrastructure or building projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Health and Safety/OSH or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Registered Site Safety Supervisor with DOSH.
• Minimum 3 years as Site Safety Supervisor in infrastructure or building construction.
• Knowledge of HSE legislation and ISO 14001 & 45001.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety compliance with the provisions of Act and regulations.
• Promote safe conduct of work through safety training programs or initiatives.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections and rectify unsafe conditions on site.
• Recommend and implement corrective measures for unsafe practices.
• Liaise with contractor's safety supervisors to manage subcontractor safety.
• Assist SHO in investigating accidents and determining root causes.
• Monitor equipment inspections and maintain safety records.
• Maintain safety documentation and equipment inventories.

Job description

We are looking for a Site Safety Supervisor who is responsible for promoting safe and healthy working conditions. You will be supervising safety of site personnel including staff and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety compliance with the provisions of Act and any relevant regulations

Promote the general safe conduct of work within the site through safety training programs or other relevant initiatives

Conduct safety audits and inspections, and rectify any unsafe conditions at the construction site and place of work

Recommend and execute corrective measures to any unsafe practices

Liaise with contractor's safety supervisors to manage the safety of work undertaken by subcontractors

Assist SHO in investigating accidents and incidents, determining root cause, and developing corrective action plans

Monitor inspection of machinery and equipment and maintain the relevant records

Maintain safety documentation and safety equipment and supplies

Requirement

Diploma in Health and Safety, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Engineering, or Project Management from recognised university or institution endorsed by MQA and DOSH

Registered Site Safety Supervisor with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH)

Minimum 3 years of working experience as Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) in infrastructure or building construction fields

Experience with Earthworks and Waterworks is highly recommended

Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) legislative

Knowledge of the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 & 45001

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel and PowerPoint)
