Job summary

A leading safety management company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Safety Officer to conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction site safety and hold a relevant safety qualification. Responsibilities include investigating incidents, promoting safety practices, and maintaining documentation. A monthly salary ranging from RM 3500 to RM 5500 will be offered based on experience, along with EPF, SOCSO, and EIS benefits.

Qualifications

  • Investigate incidents and prepare reports.

Requirements
  • Minimum certificate or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or industrial site safety.
  • Possess a valid Yellow Book.
  • Knowledge of local HSE regulations (OSHA, DOSH, FMA, etc).
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both spoken and written).
  • Able to work under pressure, independently, and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication, observation, and reporting skills.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits.
  • Ensure all workers comply with safety rules, wear proper PPE, and follow safe work practices.
  • Carry out daily Toolbox Meetings and weekly Safety Talks.
  • Investigate incidents or near-misses and prepare detailed reports.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and ensure their safety compliance.
  • Keep and maintain site safety documentation, including permits, inspection records, and reports.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the Site Safety Plan, Risk Assessments, and Emergency Response Plan.
  • Coordinate with authorities such as DOSH and CIDB when required.
  • Promote safety awareness among workers through campaigns and visual reminders.
