Job summary

Seri Yakin Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to promote safe and healthy working conditions on site. You will supervise safety for site personnel including staff and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with Acts and regulations.

You will conduct safety audits, train staff, coordinate with subcontractors, and assist in accident investigations to identify root causes and prevent recurrence. Strong communication and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Health and Safety, OSH, Engineering, or Project Management from recognised university or institution endorsed by MQA and DOSH.
• Registered Site Safety Supervisor with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as Site Safety Supervisor in infrastructure or building construction fields.
• Experience with Earthworks and Waterworks is highly recommended.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) legislation.
• Knowledge of the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 & 45001.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Good analytical thinking and decision making.
• Teamwork and collaboration: Adhere to the team's expectations and guidelines; fulfils team responsibilities; demonstrates personal commitment to the team.

Responsibilities

• Promote the general safe conduct of work within the site through safety training programs or other relevant initiatives.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections, and rectify any unsafe conditions at the construction site and place of work.
• Recommend and execute corrective measures to any unsafe practices.
• Liaise with contractor's safety supervisors to manage the safety of work undertaken by subcontractors.
• Assist SHO in investigating accidents and incidents, determining root cause, and developing corrective action plans.
• Monitor inspection of machinery and equipment and maintain the relevant records.
• Maintain safety documentation and safety equipment and supplies.
