Job summary

Econpile (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Site Safety Supervisor to assist the Safety and Health Officer and project team in implementing and monitoring occupational safety and health at the construction site.

You will conduct inspections, identify hazards, support risk assessments and control measures, monitor Permit-to-Work compliance, and lead toolbox talks, inductions and safety campaigns to promote safe working conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Construction, or other relevant disciplines.
• Valid SSS registration/competency certificate issued by DOSH/JKKP (Yellow Book).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction safety supervision, preferably in piling, foundation, civil, or infrastructure projects.
• Relevant safety and health training/certification recognized by DOSH/JKKP (an added advantage).
• Familiarity with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015 (an added advantage).

Responsibilities

• Implement the EPSB Safety & Health Policy, management and operating procedures.
• Inspect the workplace and identify, report and assist in rectifying unsafe conditions and practices.
• Assist the project team in implementing and monitoring risk assessments, HIRARC/JSA and control measures for construction activities.
• Monitor compliance with Permit-to-Work and control requirements for high-risk activities, where applicable.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, identify unsafe conditions and follow up on corrective actions at the construction site.
• Assist in promoting safe and healthy working conditions and safe work practices throughout the worksite.
• Conduct and/or coordinate toolbox meetings, safety briefings, inductions and safety campaigns for employees, workers and subcontractors.
• Monitor subcontractors' compliance with Company QHSSE requirements, approved method statements, risk assessments, safety procedures and applicable statutory requirements.
• Maintain and update relevant site safety records, inspection records, training/briefing records, incident records and statutory documentation.
• Assist in implementing emergency preparedness and response arrangements, including emergency drills and site emergency procedures.

Job description
