Job summary

GSR Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety Supervisor / Safety Health Officer to assist in implementing occupational health, safety and environmental requirements at our construction sites in Johor Bahru. The role involves ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and maintaining all safety documentation on site.

The ideal candidate holds a Degree or Diploma in Safety and Health, a valid DOSH-registered SSS or SHO license, and has at least 1 year of experience in construction safety.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a Degree/ Diploma in Safety and Health or related qualification.
• Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) or Safety and Health Officer (SHO) Competency License registered with DOSH.
• At least 1 year of working experience in construction safety.
• Knowledge of ISO standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental requirements at the site.
• Comply with statutory requirements at the project site.
• Maintain all safety documentation, checklists and legal requirements at site.
• Perform periodical site inspections to identify hazards.
• Assist in ERT & ERP implementation and investigate accidents.
• Raise health and safety issues to the Project team & sub-con where appropriate.
• Conduct inductions, toolbox talks and assist the Project manager in the safety committee.
• Prepare reports as required by authorities, clients or consultants.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and government officials (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, CIDB) to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform other safety & health duties as assigned by Superior/ Management.

Responsible and ensure all safety documentations, checklist and requirements to be legal is maintained at site.

Perform periodical inspection at the site to identify potential hazards.

Assist in ERT & ERP implementation and conduct investigations of accidents at the site.

Raise health and safety issues to Project team & sub-con where appropriate.

To conduct Induction, Tool Box Meeting and assist Project manager in safety committee

Prepared any required report by authorities, client or consultant.

Liaise with clients, consultant, subcontractors and relevant government officials (e.g.: DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, KEMEMTRIAN KESIHATION & CIDB) to identify and resolve raise issues.

Perform any other safety & health duties assigned by Superior / the Management from time to time.

Job Requirement:
