Job summary

Armada Baiduri Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Site Safety Supervisor to join our Behrang-based construction operations. The role focuses on maintaining safety, health and environmental standards across sites, with leadership to protect workers and assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include site inspections, risk assessments, inductions, incident investigations and maintaining safety records.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years' experience as Site Safety Supervisor or similar HSE role in construction.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA and CIDB requirements in Malaysia.
• Professional certification in occupational safety and health (Yellow Book or equivalent).
• Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment and control measures.
• Strong investigative and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze incidents and implement preventive actions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage workers at all levels.
• Proficiency in HSE documentation and safety management systems.
• Physically capable to inspect sites and work at heights.
• Willingness to travel to multiple project sites; valid driving license.
• Preferred ISO 45001 experience and environmental management practices.

Responsibilities

• Conducting daily site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
• Developing, implementing and monitoring site-specific HSE procedures and protocols.
• Providing comprehensive safety inductions and toolbox talks to all site personnel, including contractors and visitors.
• Investigating accidents, incidents and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintaining detailed safety records, statistics and reports for management review and regulatory compliance.
• Ensuring all workers use appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures at all times.
• Liaising with regulatory authorities and HSE consultants to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
• Conducting safety training and competency assessments for site personnel.
• Managing safety equipment and ensuring maintenance schedules are adhered to.
• Promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging worker participation in safety initiatives.

About the role

Armada Baiduri Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our construction operations team. This is a full-time position based in Behrang Ulu Perak, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, health and environmental standards across our construction sites. As Site Safety Supervisor, you will be instrumental in protecting our workforce, safeguarding assets and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices. Your leadership and commitment to safety excellence will directly contribute to the success and reputation of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or in a similar HSE role within the construction industry
• Thorough knowledge of Malaysian construction safety regulations, particularly the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) requirements
• Professional certification in occupational safety and health, such as Yellow Book or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrated expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment and implementation of control measures
• Strong investigative and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse incidents and implement effective preventative measures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence workers at all levels
• Proficiency in HSE documentation, reporting systems and safety management software
• Physical capability to regularly inspect construction sites and work at heights when necessary
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgements in high-pressure situations
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to multiple project sites
• Preferred experience with ISO 45001 standards and knowledge of environmental management practices
