We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day site operations construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
The Site Manager will work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure the smooth execution and successful completion of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily construction activities at the project site.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor site activities to ensure the project is completed according to the approved programme and schedule.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities on site matters.
- Supervise and coordinate site personnel, subcontractors, and construction workers.
- Ensure all construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Monitor work progress and identify potential delays, site issues, and construction risks.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and relevant parties to resolve technical and site-related issues promptly.
- Ensure proper sequencing and coordination of structural, architectural, M&E, and other construction works.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure that construction works meet the required quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate rectification of defects and non-conformance issues.
- Ensure compliance with project safety requirements, site rules, and applicable Malaysian occupational safety and health regulations.
- Coordinate site inspections, testing, and approvals with consultants and relevant parties.
- Monitor the use of materials, manpower, equipment, and other site resources.
- Ensure materials delivered to site are properly checked, stored, and used in accordance with project requirements.
- Maintain proper site records, daily reports, progress updates, inspection records, and other relevant documentation.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on construction progress, issues, and required actions.
- Liaise with local authorities and relevant agencies when required.
- Support the Project Manager in achieving project objectives, including time, cost, quality, safety, and overall project delivery.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the project as assigned by management.
