Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a site-focused professional for civil/architecture projects. You will assist the Project Manager and Site Manager in planning and executing site works, supervise daily activities, and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

The role requires 1–3 years of construction experience, ability to read drawings, and strong coordination and communication skills. Willingness to be based on site and work extended hours is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil, Architecture or Interior Design.
• 1–3 years of experience in construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Willing to be based at site and work extended hours if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Site Manager in planning, coordination and execution of site works.
• Supervise daily construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and approved method statements.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors’ works and site manpower.
• Prepare and submit shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and technical documents.
• Monitor site progress, productivity and construction schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality of workmanship meets project requirements.
• Check levels, alignment, measurements and setting out works.
• Verify materials delivered to site comply with approved specifications.
• Identify site technical issues and propose solutions to minimize delays and rework.
• Attend site meetings and technical coordination meetings.
• Liaise with consultants, suppliers and subcontractors on technical matters.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Maintain proper site documentation, records and as-built drawings.
• Ensure site works comply with safety, health and environmental requirements.
• Assist in testing & commissioning, inspections, defect rectification and project handover.
