Job summary

Indesign Engineerings Sdn Bhd is seeking a Civil Site Supervisor to oversee daily construction activities in Bayan Lepas, Penang. You will ensure work aligns with project specs, quality standards and schedules while supervising site workers and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.

You will conduct toolbox talks, enforce safety rules, review drawings and maintain accurate site records. Travel to project sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction site activities to ensure compliance with specs, quality standards and schedule.
• Inspect sites regularly to identify, report and mitigate safety hazards.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and health regulations.
• Coordinate with site workers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conduct toolbox talks and educate personnel on safety procedures.
• Enforce site safety rules and report incidents per procedures.
• Maintain daily site records including attendance, progress, and activities.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure work follows approved plans.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, consultants, clients and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Monitor progress, material usage and quality to meet timelines and budget.

• Supervise and monitor daily construction site activities to ensure work is carried out according to project specifications, quality standards, and schedule.
• Inspect construction sites regularly to identify, report, and eliminate potential safety hazards.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, site regulations, and relevant health and safety requirements.
• Supervise, coordinate, and provide guidance to site workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and educate site personnel on safety procedures and emergency protocols.
• Enforce site safety rules to minimize workplace accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Investigate and report site incidents or accidents in accordance with company procedures.
• Monitor and maintain accurate daily site records, including attendance, manpower, work progress, and site activities.
• Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure work is executed according to approved plans and project requirements.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, material usage, and work quality to ensure timely completion within budget.
• Evaluate the performance of site personnel and recommend corrective or disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Identify opportunities to improve site operations, productivity, and construction processes.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in construction site supervision.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willing to travel or work at project sites as required.
