Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.

• Knowledge of construction methodologies, codes, and safety practices.
• Ability to manage documentation, reports, and site records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site construction activities per plans and schedules.
• Conduct daily site inspections and maintain site records and safety logs.
• Coordinate with contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers for timely deliveries.
• Monitor budgets, track expenses, and report variations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform quality control on materials and workmanship.
• Maintain project documentation including surveys and test results.
• Communicate progress and issues with project management and clients.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Engineer to join the team at M&M Project Builder SDN. BHD. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru District, Johor. As Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the technical and operational aspects of construction projects on-site. You will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. This position is integral to the successful delivery of our projects and directly impacts project timelines, budgets, and overall quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on-site to ensure work is executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and schedules
• Conduct daily site inspections and maintain comprehensive site documentation, including progress reports, quality records, and safety logs
• Liaise with contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Monitor and manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on cost variations and financial performance
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and implement corrective actions when necessary
• Perform quality control inspections on materials, workmanship, and completed construction elements
• Prepare and maintain accurate project records, including site surveys, test results, and as-built documentation
• Communicate effectively with project management, clients, and site teams regarding project progress, issues, and resolutions
• Assist in identifying and resolving technical problems and implement appropriate solutions to maintain project momentum
• Support the scheduling of construction activities and coordinate with relevant teams to minimise delays

What we’re looking for

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Site Engineer or similar role on construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry best practices
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
• Competency in construction project management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental management practices in the construction industry
• Physical ability to work on‑site in varying weather conditions and terrain
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
• Preferred: Professional certification such as PE (Professional Engineer) or relevant site supervision qualifications
