Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree and has proven leadership and planning skills, with willingness to travel to project sites and maintain high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Experience in supervising construction teams and projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices in Malaysia.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proven planning, scheduling, and resource management skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and valid driving license.
• SHO certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities on site to align with schedules and specs.

PKJUITA SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Supervisor to join our construction team in Kulai, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on site, maintaining safety standards, managing team performance, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This position is integral to our operations, directly impacting project quality, workforce efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all daily construction activities on site, ensuring work progresses according to project schedules and specifications
• Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel
• Manage and motivate construction workers, subcontractors, and other site personnel to achieve productivity targets and maintain high standards of workmanship
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, defects, or non-conformities and implement corrective measures promptly
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns or changes
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets, materials inventory, and safety documentation
• Manage site resources, including equipment, materials, and labour allocation, to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
• Conduct tool-box talks and inductions to ensure all team members understand their responsibilities and project requirements
• Investigate and report on any incidents, accidents, or near-misses, implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence
• Coordinate with utility providers and other external parties to ensure site readiness and uninterrupted project execution

What we're looking for

• Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering. Fresh gradute are welcomed.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standard practices relevant to civil, structural, or building works
• Proven experience in managing and supervising construction teams of varying sizes
• Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices in Malaysia
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Problem-solving capability and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Competency in site planning, resource management, and scheduling
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within project locations as required
• Relevant certifications such as Safety and Health Officer (SHO) or equivalent qualifications are highly desirable
• Experience with construction management software or digital reporting tools is preferred
