About the role

We are seeking a Site Engineer to join ACTER TECHNOLOGY MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Batu Kawan, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical and operational aspects of construction work on site, ensuring that all projects are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role is central to maintaining our reputation for excellence in project delivery and plays an integral part in achieving our strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities on site to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and contractual requirements
• Monitor site safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices
• Inspect materials, workmanship, and completed work to verify that quality standards are met
• Maintain detailed site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of any site issues or changes
• Liaise with project managers, contractors, and clients to communicate project progress and address any concerns
• Conduct site surveys and measurements to verify alignment with engineering drawings and specifications
• Identify and resolve technical problems or discrepancies that arise during construction
• Manage site resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to optimise project efficiency
• Support the project team in meeting schedules and budget targets

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Site Engineer or similar role within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety standards
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Knowledge of construction management software and tools
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with diverse teams
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to site locations as required
• Professional qualifications or certifications in construction management or engineering are advantageous
