Job summary

R Line Services Sdn Bhd is recruiting a Customer Service Shipping Line to join our Klang, Selangor team. This full-time role is the primary contact for shipping line enquiries, coordinating vessel bookings, providing shipment updates to clients, and ensuring accurate documentation.

You will liaise with shipping lines and internal teams to resolve issues, maintain records, and support long-term partner relationships. Strong knowledge of shipping operations and software systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service within the shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of shipping operations, including vessel movements, booking procedures, and shipping documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant shipping and logistics software systems.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer enquiries simultaneously whilst maintaining accuracy.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail, particularly when handling documentation and records.
• Professional demeanour and a customer-focused approach.
• Familiarity with incoterms and international trade practices is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Handling all shipping line customer enquiries via email, telephone, and in-person communication
• Managing vessel booking requests and confirmations with shipping lines
• Providing updates on shipment status and vessel movements to clients
• Coordinating with shipping line representatives to resolve operational issues and discrepancies
• Processing shipping documentation and ensuring accuracy of all paperwork
• Maintaining detailed records of all customer interactions and transactions in company systems
• Liaising between internal teams and external shipping partners to facilitate seamless operations
• Responding promptly to customer complaints and concerns, seeking swift resolutions
• Providing rate quotations and commercial terms information to clients
• Supporting the development of positive long-term relationships with shipping line partners
